Unity without Conformity | Diversity without Conflict | Power without Coercion

RIGHTS EQUALITY DEFENSE
These three Concepts underlie the ideology of Individualism, and
Individualism is the indispensable Foundation of Freedom!
FREEDOM
UNITY DIVERSITY POWER
Rights do not come from the state—they belong to the People by Nature. Any power that claims the authority to grant rights also can claim to have the authority to take them away. All humans are born equal, possessing unalienable rights to Life, Liberty, Dignity, Property, and the pursuit of Happiness. Governments exist for one purpose only: to protect these rights, not to redefine or deny them. Where a state or a religion rules over the natural rights of people, freedom and nature die.
"What has always made the state a hell on earth has been precisely that man has tried to make it heaven."
- Johann Christian Friedrich Hölderlin (20 March 1770 – 6 June 1843) - Hyperion
THREE COMMANDMENTS OF FREEDOM
INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS
Only individuals have rights, not groups. Therefore, do not sacrifice the rights of any individual or minority for the alleged rights of groups.
EQUALITY UNDER LAW
To favor one class of citizens over others is not equality under law. Therefore, do not endorse any law that does not apply to all citizens equally.
DEFENSE ONLY
The proper function of the state is to protect, not to provide. Therefore, do not approve coercion for any purpose except to protect human life, liberty, or property. (This is the principle of non-aggression.)
If only someone would tell these godforsaken ones: all things are so imperfect among you because you leave nothing pure and unspoiled, nothing holy untouched by your clumsy hands; nothing thrives among you because you do not honor the root of prosperity—the divine Nature; indeed, life among you is flat, full of anxiety, and overflowing with cold, silent discord, because you scorn the genius who brings strength and nobility to human action, cheerfulness into suffering, and love and brotherhood into cities and homes.
And that is why they also fear death so greatly, and endure all shame for the sake of their oyster-like existence, because they know nothing higher than their own handiwork, which they have clumsily stitched together. — Friedrich Hölderlin, Hyperion - 2nd volume 1799
